Bringin' the Necropolis Blog Tour Home in Style

Happy Friday! As promised, it's the last day of the Necropolis Blog Tour, and yes, it's ending up right where it began -- here.

For those of you who've somehow missed all this (and I know there are those of you who have), here's what's been going on for the Necropolis Enforcement Blog Tour of 2012. If you haven’t read the first chapter of The Night Beat, hit Deathless Prose and check it out. Then, hit each stop along the way to get more of the story. Missed a stop? Go to Invasion of the Blog Tour and get caught up. And don’t forget to get entered to win a copy of The Night Beat at EVERY blog tour stop along the way! Plus, follow the Tour ‘til the end (um, right here) and get entered for a mega-prize! So, grab your badge -- it’s time to join Necropolis Enforcement!

The majority of Prosaic City’s residents don’t know that their town exists on top of another place -- Necropolis, City of the Undead. For the most part, the two planes of existence manage to remain separate. And when they don’t, Necropolis Enforcement has beings in place to ensure the general human population remains blithely clueless.
Victoria Wolfe is more than just a policewoman. She’s an undercover werewolf assigned by Necropolis Enforcement to work Prosaic City Police’s Night Beat. Victoria’s comfortable working the shift where all the weird comes out to play, especially since her partner is also her perfect man. Or would be, if Victoria could ever work up the nerve to tell him she isn’t like other girls.
It’s hard enough being a werewolf in disguise, but when a creature from the Depths of Hell shows up in an alley preferred by junkies, bums, and hookers, it’s going to take more than just Victoria’s special gun and werewolf skills to subdue the ancient Sumerian demon. Especially when the demon is merely the start of what appears to be a major takeover attempt by the Prince of Darkness.
Soon all of Necropolis Enforcement’s Undead Brigade is involved in the fight to stop the Prince’s Major Minions from taking over Prosaic City and the rest of the human plane. But it’s Victoria who has to face the Adversary and figure out what intricate plan Lucifer has up his wings before everyone she cares about is destroyed.
In other words, it’s just another day on the Night Beat.

Now, check out the last excerpt from The Night Beat. Then read on, because in not only is someone winning an electronic copy of The Night Beat, there's an even bigger (much, MUCH bigger) prize that's up for grabs as well!

In addition to the med staff, there was another being waiting for me. “Oh, no. Maurice, do something.”

Not a thing I can do to dislodge him, but I’ll stay with you into the hospital,” Maurice said in a low voice.
He was in full wolf form for no reason other than that he was a fanatic about it. I’d actually never seen him in human form and almost never in werewolf form, he was that committed to the rather ancient belief that werewolves were strongest in “natural animal form”. He bounded over, tail wagging, eyes serious, ears alert for any danger. “Vic, what happened? Are you going to be okay? Do you need a transfusion?”
     “Just got banged up, Ralph.”
“I’d better stick with you. Werewolves need to pack together.” He was serious. Ralph Rogers, Werewolf With a Cause. He was a big, good-looking wolf, but a weregirl could only take so much dork in her life and Ralph threatened to exceed my limit on a nightly basis.
“I think we can handle it, Ralphie,” Maurice said, as he pointedly swished by. Ralph and Maurice didn’t get along. At all.
The med personnel got their paws, claws and talons on me, and I got hustled into a medical bay. They tried to keep Ralph and Maurice out, but Ralph was loud and insistent and Maurice was willing to be nasty and they knew it, so ultimately, it was a intimate group of ten by the time I got onto a bed.
Ralph tried to get next to me. Maurice blocked him every time and made it look accidental. Really, a werewolf doesn’t stand a chance against a vampire, especially a smart and sneaky vampire, and there weren’t a lot of earnest and apple-cheeked ones out there.
“Ralph, I really think I’m okay. I didn’t lose any blood, all my limbs are attached, and I can feel my bones setting themselves. Shouldn’t you be out on patrol or something?”
“It’s my night off.” Ralph gave Maurice a dirty look. “Though I see I shouldn’t have taken it.”
“Ralph, it was an ancient Sumerian demon crossed with some sort of slime monster. Maurice gave it his all, just like the rest of us.”
“I note he’s not the one injured.” Ralph made this sound like Maurice had tossed me to Slimy and then run off screaming.
“I wasn’t the one who went on Mister Monster’s Wild Ride,” Maurice said haughtily. “I also wasn’t the one listening to the Enforcement Band Radio to be able to intercept the object of my unrequited affections the moment she returned on premises.”
Ralph growled, always impressive in a werewolf. The doctor in charge had enough. “All personnel who aren’t medically trained and part of my med team, out. Now. That particularly means you, Agent Rogers.”
Ralph bared his teeth, shot me an expectant look that turned to doggy-disappointment when I didn’t demand he stay so we could hold paws, heaved the big sigh, then turned tail and left. The tension in the room dropped.
Maurice winked at me. “I’ll ride herd on Mister Lovestruck. I can see why you want the human when this is your most likely alternate.”
     “I have options!”
“Uh huh. Let’s talk about why you and Ken didn’t work out, shall we?”
“Later,” the doctor snapped. “After she’s healed later.”
Maurice blew kisses to all and swished out after Ralph. The tension in the room went back to normal.
“How do you deal with them?” one of the nurses asked as they started the various tortures we called medical treatment.
“I tell myself it could always be worse.”
     “How?”
“I could be living and working with my parents.”

Wanna read it all? Then leave a comment here and get entered to win -- just tell me what were-animal you'd like to be and why.

One lucky winner will win an ecopy of The Night Beat. And one luckier winner will score the Blog Tour Grand Prize: a Howl with the Night Beat Totebag, which will be stuffed with:
--a signed, personalized copy of The Night Beat
--an I Heart Werewolves Night Beat T-Shirt (size L only)
--a Night Beat Pen
--a Night Beat Mousepad
--a signed, personalized copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate by G.J. Koch
--a signed, personalized copy of winner's choice of Touched by an Alien, Alien Tango, Alien in the Family, Alien Proliferation, or Alien Diplomacy
--and...a signed, personalized Advanced Reader Copy of Alien vs. Alien!

Now how's that for winning with style?

Contest will run through Sunday, October 7th. Contest IS open internationally, for both ebook and Grand Prize.

So what are you waiting for? Tell me what were-animal you'd like to be and why and let's see if the Gods and Monsters feel you're the most worthy of them all.

Love,
Gini

Dimensional Monday

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and that the start to the week isn't too rough. The Cardinals beat the Eagles and USC beat Cal, so my weekend was full of happy football moments, in between writing hours, and fun handing out prizes moments. And congrats to all the winners (so far!) of The Night Beat!

Speaking of which, the Necropolis Blog Tour is still going strong, so head over to Book & Movie Dimension a Blog for the next stop along the way. Don't forget to enter for another chance to win a copy of The Night Beat.

Be sure to hit all the other stops on the Tour and enter to win a copy of The Night Beat at each stop. If you've missed a stop, get caught up at Invasion of the Blog Tour, including: Stop 1/Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell, contest ends Sept. 27; Stop 3/I Smell Sheep, contest ends Sept. 28; Stop 6/Pearls Cast Before a McPig, contest ends Sept. 29; Stop 8/A Buckeye Girl Reads, contest ends Sept. 28; Stop 9/Hanging with Bells, contest ends Sept. 25; Stop 10/The Peasants Revolt, contest ends Sept. 27; Stop 11/Sara's Urban Fantasy Blog, contest ends Sept. 29; Stop 12/Book Lovers Inc., contest ends Oct. 6; and Stop 13/VVB Reads, contest ends Oct. 5.

I also fit in a new blog over at The Night Bazaar, so check out "Tuned to the Nike Channel" for the latest yappings from moi.

For those keeping score at home, the pre-order info is now live for Three Card Monte over at Musa Publishing. Release date is Friday, October 5th.

And, Book Lovers Inc. had a nice roundup of the prior week in review. A lot went on, so check out their recap.

That's it for today, but as with every other week this month, there's more on the way. So, enjoy the start of your week and let's be readers out there!

Friday News, News, News

Happy Friday! I have some exciting news I've been dying to share with you since, um, yesterday afternoon. But, as is my wont, I'm going to make you wait for it. But only for a little while.

Why are we waiting? Well, in part because the Necropolis Blog Tour is still large and in charge. Head over to VVB Reads and check out the next excerpt while also getting entered to win a copy of The Night Beat. Contest ends Oct. 5.

Be sure to hit all the other stops on the Tour and enter to win a copy of The Night Beat at each stop. If you've missed a stop, get caught up at Invasion of the Blog Tour, including: Stop 5/Ex Libris, contest ends TODAY Sept. 21; Stop 6/Pearls Cast Before a McPig, contest ends Sept. 29; Stop 8/A Buckeye Girl Reads, contest ends Sept. 28; Stop 9/Hanging with Bells, contest ends Sept. 25; Stop 10/The Peasants Revolt, contest ends Sept. 27; Stop 11/Sara's Urban Fantasy Blog, contest ends Sept. 29; and Stop 12/Book Lovers Inc., contest ends Oct. 6.

Speaking of winning, the winners are announced over at boeklogboek so if you entered there, check it to see if you've won!

Next up, a reminder that Three Card Monte, the next installment of The Martian Alliance, will be released from Musa Publishing on Friday, October 5th. Yes, the crew of the Hummingbird is back, with more adventures and mayhem. And flies. And if you haven't read The Royal Scam, now's a good time to get caught up!

And, I'd be remiss if I didn't remind all y'all to pre-order Alien vs. Alien. Why? Because more and more, pre-orders matter. So, if you have authors or series that are "must reads" for you, pre-order them from your local bookstore or Amazon.com -- it'll help all those authors keep on writing and publishing books you love.

Speaking of keeping on, it's time for that news now. As my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know...

*drum roll, please and thank you*

DAW Books just bought Book 9/Universal Alien and Book 10/Alien Separation for publication in May/December 2014! Yes, I'm very excited, especially because I have such fun things planned for Kitty & Company, I'm really glad I get to share them with all of you.

That's it for today. So, go forth into that great weekend, and let's be pre-ordering readers out there. Peace out my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini

Thursday's Lovers

Made you look. (See? I don't pull the double entendres out JUST on Hump Days. You've been warned.)

Well, the downward slide towards the weekend has really begun. But before we get there, there's still lots going on. So, let's get to it!

First off, head over to the next stop on the Necropolis Blog Tour. Check out the latest excerpt at Book Lovers Inc. and while you're there, be sure to enter to win a copy of The Night Beat.

Speaking of winning, the first blog to announce a winner is Bibliognome. Check it out to see if you're the lucky winner!

Then see what The Peasants Revolt thought of The Night Beat.

Be sure to hit all the other stops on the Tour -- you can enter to win a copy at each stop, and increase the ol' odds of winning exponentially. If you've missed a stop, get caught up at Invasion of the Blog Tour, including: Stop 5/Ex Libris, contest ends Sept. 21; Stop 6/Pearls Cast Before a McPig, contest ends Sept. 29; Stop 8/A Buckeye Girl Reads, contest ends Sept. 28; Stop 9/Hanging with Bells, contest ends Sept. 25; Stop 10/The Peasants Revolt, contest ends Sept. 27; and Stop 11/Sara's Urban Fantasy Blog, contest ends Sept. 29.

Now it's time for my belated CopperCon recap. CopperCon happened over Labor Day weekend, and while goes for four days, it's a smaller, relaxed con, so it's very vacation-like. For a smaller con it was loaded with panels, meaning I didn't get to panel with everyone I'd have liked to. BUT, I did get to panel with Marsheila Rockwell, Jordan Summers, Saul Garnell, and Thomas Watson, along with non-authors Brian Duncan aka the Movie Whiz, and Geologist and bio-hazard waste specialist Kay Pannell who you want with you when the zombie apocalypse hits -- all of which were tons of fun. I also got to hang out with a variety of cool authors including David Lee Summers, T.L. Smith, and Janeen O'Kerry, and some wonderful Members of the Alien Collective in Very Good Standing.

I also got to get to know awesome author James A. Owen better. Yes, it's true -- he really IS the nicest man in the world, and that's saying something, because I know a lot of nice men. (Insert whatever joke you want here.) If you get a chance to see him, don't miss it. Though I don't recommend seeing him right before you have to do a panel (especially not a Writing Erotica panel) because your audience looks at you funny when it appears you've been crying over someone's awesome life story. Hey, it's a really moving, follow your heart and your gut story. *sniffle*

Because of scheduling, I missed the opening ceremonies, which was disappointing because my friend Colette Vernon won CopperCon's short story contest and I'd wanted to cheer when she got her prize. (I had her sign my program and she forgave me.) I also missed the masquerade, meaning that I've seen a total of 1 masquerade -- at the first con I ever attended -- in all the time I've been going to cons (um, about 3 years). I liked the one I saw. One day, perhaps I'll get to see another one, but CopperCon was not that day.

Bottom line: a lovely time was had by all and I left the con feeling refreshed and ready to get back to writing, and really, you can't ask for more than that.

Well, that's it for today, but more's on the way. So keep your eye on the weekend prize and let's be readers out there!

Love,
Gini

Urban Revolt

Happy Hump Day! I know you're all shocked that you didn't hear from me yesterday, what with the Necropolis Blog Tour still going strong and all. I had Effectiveness Fail on Tuesday, caused in no small part by Writing Inspiration. So, hopefully you'll all forgive me.

So, let's get right to it. First off, head over to The Peasants Revolt where Excerpt #10 of The Night Beat, and it's accompanying chance to win a copy of the bookie wookie, are large and in charge. It's a very nicely laid out site, so take a moment to check it all out. Contest ends Sept. 27.

Then head to Sara's Urban Fantasy Blog where Excerpt #11 and yet another chance to win a copy of The Night Beat await you. Contest ends Sept. 29.

Remember to hit all the prior stops -- collect 'em all and you'll have gotten to read the first 10 chapters of The Night Beat. Enter everywhere and get that many more chances to win your own copy. So, check out Invasion of the Blog Tour for any stops you've missed, including: Stop 5/Ex Libris, contest ends Sept. 21; Stop 6/Pearls Cast Before a McPig, contest ends Sept. 29; Stop 7/Bibliognome, contest ends TODAY Sept. 19; Stop 8/A Buckeye Girl Reads, contest ends Sept. 28; and Stop 9/Hanging with Bells, contest ends Sept. 25.

Next, check out the cool, fun, and funny interview with my BFF Marsheila Rockwell over at Civilian Reader.

After all that, check out The Nameless Zine where there's a nice listing of my upcoming October personal appearances. There's also a cool interview with awesome author James A. Owen (part of which I got to hear live at CopperCon), so check the Zine out and enjoy the reading.

A note for those who normally see me at TusCon in November -- I have a conflicting event and will NOT be at TusCon this year. So, if you were planning to come see me there (and I know several of you who were), please come see me in October in Douglas, Queen Creek, Sedona, or Phoenix.

Speaking of said conflicting November event, if you're an aspiring author, you don't want to miss the 7th Annual FREE Fall Writers Workshop. You'll get 12 multi-published authors, including moi, all teaching on different aspects of the writing world and the publishing business. PLUS the amazing Jennifer Ashley (aka Allison James and Ashley Gardner) will be the keynote speaker. Truly, if you want to learn to write or learn how to get published, don't miss this event. And, yes, no joke -- it's completely FREE. Why do we do it? 'Cause we're givers, that's why. And, you don't have to be a writer to attend. If you just want to come to meet some awesome authors and get to hang out with them...well, you can do that, too. All are welcome!

Speaking of CopperCon, I realized yesterday, during Writing Inspiration time, that I haven't actually done my recap. So, that'll be coming up this week. I know, how can you stand the suspense of it? Hey, it was a great little con and deserves the update. But today was plenty full, so the recap will be coming on a less full, but no less exciting, day.

So until next time, peace out, my li'l gangstas, and let's be readers out there!

Love,
Gini

Winning Monday

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and that everyone's also having a good start to the week. My weekend was filled with finalizing Alien vs. Alien galley edits and getting them to DAW. All done, and I'm back at work on Alien in the House (and there was much rejoicing).

The Necropolis Blog Tour is still going strong. So head over to the next stop and check out the latest excerpt at Hanging with Bells. Get entered to win yet another copy of The Night Beat while you're there.

And remember to hit all the prior stops, including Stop 5/Ex Libris, contest ends Sept. 21; Stop 6/Pearls Cast Before a McPig, contest ends Sept. 29; Stop 7/Bibliognome, contest ends Sept. 19; and Stop 8/A Buckeye Girl Reads, contest ends Sept. 28.

Not sure if you've hit them all so far? Check out Invasion of the Blog Tour for all that's gone before, and is to come. There's a chance to win a copy of The Night Beat at each stop, so, if you don't end up with a copy by the end of the Tour, you just weren't trying hard enough!

In Person Reminders: I'll be out and about in October, so if you're near these areas, come on by!
*Saturday, October 6 -- Workshop (Writing from the Hindbrain) and book signing at The Well Red Coyote, Sedona, AZ 2-4pm
*Tuesday, October 9 -- Workshop (Love ME: Promotion for Authors and Can't We All Just Get Along: How to Work with Beta and Crit Groups) at The Queen Creek Writer's Group, Queen Creek Library, AZ, 5-8pm
*Saturday, October 13 -- Book sales and signing, Centennial Authors and Artists Weekend, Hotel Gadsden, Douglas, AZ, 10am-4pm

And just when you think the chances to win are already covered, there's more. I have Goodreads giveaways going for signed copies of: an ARC of Alien vs. Alien; Touched by an Alien; The Night Beat; and Alexander Outland: Space Pirate, by G.J. Koch. So, if you're a Goodreads member, get entered to win!

Once the Necropolis Blog Tour is all done, we'll have more winning coming your way, including a big ARC Contest for Alien vs. Alien, for Hook Me Up! subscribers only, natch, and also a contest that's slightly different than any I've ever run before. Oooh, the mystery!

So, until next time, peace out, my li'l ganstas, and let's be readers out there!

Also, just had a call with Andy Caploe, the voice artist who's recording Alexander Outland: Space Pirate for Audible.com. He rocks and I just can't wait because the audio book is going to be SO good.

That's it for today and this week, but never fear, more's coming next week. So, get down with your bad selves this weekend and let's be readers out there! Peace out, my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Gnomish Thursday

It's a short and sweet one for you today. I know, sometimes I toss a short one out there to keep all y'all guessing. (And sometimes it's because I'm in the middle of doing galley edits on Alien vs. Alien and I know what you'd all rather I focused on.)

So, head out to Bibliognome, the next stop on the Necropolis Blog tour, check out the latest excerpt, and get entered to win -- contest ends Sept. 19. Yes indeed, you get yet ANOTHER chance to win a copy of The Night Beat. Is there no end to our generosity? As I look at the list of blog stops, where you can win a copy of the bookie wookie at each stop, I conclude: No.

Remember to hit all the prior stops as well. If you hit them all, and in order, you'll have read the first 10 chapters of The Night Beat. Pretty sweet, huh? It's like I can't stop giving.

So, visit and enter at: Stop 1/Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell, contest ends Sept. 27; Stop 2/My 5 Monkeys; Stop 3/I Smell Sheep, contest ends Sept. 28; Stop 4/boeklogboek, contest ends Sept. 20; Stop 5/Ex Libris, contest ends Sept. 21; and Stop 6/Pearls Cast Before a McPig, contest ends Sept. 29.

That's it for today, but more's just around the corner. So enjoy the blog hopping, and let's be readers out there!

Lovecraft Humping

I know that made you look...

Happy Hump Day! Well, we're at the midpoint of the week and get to enjoy the downward slide towards the weekend. But the Necropolis Blog Tour isn't slowing down in any way, shape, or form.

Head over to Pearls Cast Before a McPig to get not only the next excerpt and yet ANOTHER chance to win a copy of The Night Beat -- contest ends Sept. 29 -- but also to read my guest post about H.P. Lovecraft and why I think he's dreamy.

And, remember to hit the prior stops on the tour. If you hit them all, and in order, you'll have read the first 10 chapters of The Night Beat. Pretty sweet, huh? You can also get entered to win a copy of the bookie wookie at every stop. That's not one book total, that's one book PER BLOG. I know what you're thinking -- Gini is the soul of generosity! Yes, it's true, spoken modestly, God love me.

So, visit and enter at: Stop 1/Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell, contest ends Sept. 27; Stop 2/My 5 Monkeys, CONTEST EXTENDED TO Sept. 20*; Stop 3/I Smell Sheep, contest ends Sept. 28; Stop 4/boeklogboek, contest ends Sept. 20; and Stop 5/Ex Libris, contest ends Sept. 21.

After all that touring of the blogosphere, head over to Portland Book Review and see what they thought of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate, by G.J. Koch (yes, that's moi).

Speaking of Alexander Outland, I have some exciting news to share. *drum roll, please* As my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know... Alexander Outland: Space Pirate will soon be available in audio format! Yes! I just spoke with the voice artist yesterday (and he's so GOOOOOOD) and he'll be recording soon (as in, this week soon). The moment I know when the audio version will be available you, of course, will be the first to know. This is my first audio book, ever, so I'm super thrilled and can't wait to hear the finished product.

Well, that's it for today, but more's coming tomorrow. So have a great one, keep your eye on the weekend, and let's be readers out there!

Thoughtful Tuesday

Today's an interesting day. 12 years ago, it would have just been another day. Now, it's a day of remembrance. For me, it's also a day when I have about a dozen friends and family who are celebrating birthdays. So, while 9-11 is a sad day in many ways, it's also a day where we can remind ourselves that the human spirit goes on and a few bad people truly can't win over the rest of us. (And I get to go broke due to birthday gifts, but that's another story.)

Okay, I know, I'm not the girl you go to for deep, meaningful, and thoughtful. (Well, not intentionally.) So, let's all have a moment of silence for all of those we've lost over the years, on 9-11 and any other time, because loss is never easy, and then head back to where we all know I live -- on the corner of Funny Street and Yap Avenue.

The Necropolis Blog Tour is still going strong. Head over to Ex Libris where you not only get the next excerpt AND another chance to win The Night Beat -- contest ends Sept. 21 -- but you also get a new interview with moi.

Remember to hit the prior blog stops as well, where you can also get entered to win: Stop 1/Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell, contest ends Sept. 27; Stop 2/My 5 Monkeys, CONTEST EXTENDED TO Sept. 20; Stop 3/I Smell Sheep, contest ends Sept. 28; and Stop 4/boeklogboek, contest ends Sept. 20.

Upcoming In Person Appearances:
Saturday, October 6 -- Workshop (Writing from the Hindbrain) and Book Signing at The Well Red Coyote, Sedona, AZ 2-4pm
Tuesday, October 9 -- Workshop (Love ME: Promotion for Authors) and Can't We All Just Get Along: How to Work with Beta and Crit Groups) at The Queen Creek Writer's Group, Queen Creek Library, AZ, 5-8pm
Saturday, October 13 -- Book Sales and Signing, Centennial Authors and Artists Weekend, Hotel Gadsden, Douglas, AZ, 10am-4pm

That's it for today, but never fear, more's coming. So, get entered to win all over the blogosphere while simultaneously getting to read the first 10 chapters of The Night Beat. In other words, let's be readers out there!

Love,
Gini

Boek-y Monday

Hope everyone had a great weekend and that Monday wasn't too much of a bummer. I know, I know. It's Monday. It's Monday's lot in life to be a bummer. But hey, let's move on to some fun things that will do their best to make Monday better.

First up, head over to boeklogboek where the yap is both large and in charge for Aurian and Maia's first Author Interview AND where the next installment of the Necropolis Blog Tour, and therefore the next excerpt of The Night Beat, is front and center. You can also win a copy of The Night Beat, contest ends Sept. 20, so don't delay, get entered today!

Remember to hit the prior blog stops as well, where you can also get entered to win: Stop 1/Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell, contest ends Sept. 27; Stop 2/My 5 Monkeys, contest ends TOMORROW, Sept. 11; and Stop 3/I Smell Sheep, contest ends Sept. 28.

Next up, check out the newest cover for my upcoming release, Three Card Monte, coming from Musa Publishing on Friday, October 5th.

That's it for today, but there are more Invasion of the Blog Tour stops all week, with more excerpts, a Q&A, a guest post, and more, so get ready, it's gonna be a fun undead ride!

Love,
Gini

Baa-ing for the Weekend

Happy Friday! Hope everyone has some awesome weekend plans ahead, and hopefully they include reading. My plans include writing, and lots of it, because Alien in the House is due to the awesome editor soon, and then to all of you in April, and I know better than to keep any of you waiting.

But in between waiting for Alien vs. Alien's ARCs to arrive and that contest to start, and waiting for Three Card Monte to release (October 5th), and all those other things, we have the Necropolis Blog Tour in full swing, and you don't want to miss it!

Today's installment is over at I Smell Sheep. Check it out, and get entered to win (contest ends Sept. 28th). Win what, you ask? Well, at all stops along the way, you can get entered to win a copy of The Night Beat. And at the last stop, there will be an even bigger giveaway.

So don't miss out on LOTS of chances to win! If you haven't yet hit Stop 1/Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell -- contest ends Sept. 27th -- or Stop 2/My 5 Monkeys -- contest ends Sept. 11th -- do so now, and increase your chances of winning the bookie wookie.

And check out Invasion of the Blog Tour for the rest of the tour dates. Then head over to Smash Attack Reads and see what she and On a Book Bender thought of Alien Proliferation.

We'll have more fun stuff tomorrow, including some new Running of the Yap, but that'll do for today. So, until then, peace out, my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini

Invasion of the Blog Tour

Happy Hump Day! Hope everyone had a great weekend and got through the Tuesday that was like a Monday, at least here in the States. I had a great time at CopperCon, and will, as per my usual, be giving you that update later in the week.

Why not today, you ask? Because, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, today's a big day and we need to roll your bad selves right into it. That's right, it's the start of the Necropolis Blog Tour, in honor of The Night Beat! And in addition to getting cool excerpts of the book (if you follow along you'll get through Chapter 10) there are prizes at EVERY stop of the Tour!

Make sure you start over at my Deathless Prose page to get all of Chapter 1 of The Night Beat. Then go immediately to Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell where you get the next excerpt and the first chance to win (contest ends Sept. 27th). After that, head to My 5 Monkeys, where the next excerpt, and chance to win, awaits (contest ends Sept. 11).

The next stops are all listed for you at Invasion of the Blog Tour, so if you miss any, you can go there to get caught up.

Once you've toured for today, check out what My ParaHangover is waiting for.

That's it for today, but the Necropolis Blog Tour is running all month, so until the next time, enjoy the start of the Tour and let's be winning readers out there!

Love,
Gini
